KFOR: Willing to respond if it is necessary

PRISTINA, Dec  21 /ATA/ KFOR is still deliberating on Serbia’s request to send 1,000 police and military troops to the north of the country. This was made known by this mission itself, which said that they will continue to provide a safe environment by encouraging constructive dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia for long-term and sustainable solutions.

“We are currently analyzing the latest request of the Government of Serbia. We will continue to provide a safe environment and provide the freedom of movement that encourages productive dialogue, enabling the leaders  to come up with long-term and sustainable solutions to the benefit of all communities living in Kosovo,” said KFOR.

Speaking about the exercise in Novosella, KFOR says that they consider it important to train and test the capabilities of its units to guarantee freedom of movement using available tools in case political agreements are not implemented and intervention is required.
