TIRANA, Dec 17 /ATA/ – Extractive and processing industries performed positively in the third quarter of 2022 as compared to the same period of the previous year.
Official quarterly data on producers signal increased sales indicators and production in the industry sector.
Data show that the indices of production sales, wages and the number of employees increased during the third quarter of 2022.
The industry sector, which includes the extractive and processing industry, has experienced positive changes during the third quarter of 2021. In the “industry” activity, the volume of net sales index has increased by 1.7% year-on-year during the third quarter of 2022.
Specifically, the sales index for the extractive industry has increased by 12.7%, while for the processing industry this index has decreased by 0.6%.
Index of the production volume grew by 6.8% in the third quarter. The production volume index for the extractive industry has increased by 17.7% compared to the third quarter of 2021, while the production index for the processing industry has increased by 3.9%.
The index of the number of employees has increased by 2.1%, while that of wages has increased by 16.8%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2021.
