TIRANA, Dec 14 /ATA/ The Ambassador of the United States of America, Yuri Kim, reacted on Wednesday over Gent Ibrahimi’s swearing in as the 9th judge of the Constitutional Court.
The 9th judge was sworn in to Constitutional Court of Albania. CC achieved functionality in Dec 2020 with 7 judges. Now – for 1st time since Oct 2016 – Constitutional Court has full bench. This is a significant milestone in implementation of justice reform.
“This was the result of cooperation of institutions, including Presidency, Parliament, Judicial Appointments Council, High Court. Next step: Looking forward to completion of High Court bench early next year so that more cases can be processed in a timely manner.
