TIRANA, Dec 7 /ATA/ The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has prioritized the support for new investments in the storage and processing infrastructure of agricultural products according to the best standards, as a main factor in increasing exports.
The increase in the number of collection points has a significant impact on the expansion of exports of agricultural products, meeting the quality and safety requirements of the foreign market.
Collection points help small farmers in selling their products, or even in storing them according to the required standards.
ARDA, through the IPARD II program, has supported the reconstruction of facilities for the collection and storage of agricultural products, livestock, medicinal plants, etc., by expanding these points.
Investments in this direction have been extended to different areas of the country and consist in: the best maintenance conditions, cold rooms, warehouses, processing and packaging lines.
ARDA informs that this financing has improved the standards and increased the presence of “Made in Albania” products in the European market.
Thanks to the IPARD II program, there are 27 beneficiary collection points and the value of the support provided so far amounts to 5.6 million euros.
