TIRANA, Dec. 6 /ATA/ – The Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni stated on Monday that the EU has a great responsibility for the countries of the Western Balkan.
Meloni met Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is welcoming the participants in the run-up to the EU-Western Balkans Summit, the first of its kind to take place in the region.
“We have a great responsibility for the countries of the Western Balkans, especially because of the Russian aggression in Ukraine. It is important to strengthen the procedures for the entry of these countries into the EU”, Meloni said in a statement to the international media.
“I think there are many issues on which we should work together, focusing on the areas of the economy, cyber security and other issues such as roaming, where Italy is fully committed to. Therefore, we will try to do our best, Italy will provide its support in this regard”, Meloni said. //a.i/
