TIRANA, Nov 28 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/- The Democratic Party (DP) head Sali Berisha, in his message on the 110th anniversary of Independence Day, paid tribute to Ismail Qemali and all the men and women who sacrificed their lives in all forms to make the independence of this country real.
In a post on social media, Berisha states that in a nutshell the Independence of Albania is the highlight of all Albanian holidays.
“Without the independence of Albania, we would have disappeared into the abyss or mists of the Balkans. Thanks God, today we are free! In Albania, in Kosovo and wherever we are. But today, we have a very big problem, this regime which, through the policies it pursues, the anti-reforms it carries out, the abuse with the national wealth and public funds, is driving Albanians away. It is driving away the youth of the nation, like no other regime in history,” he adds.
He adds that this day is a call for every young person of this country, for every Albanian to take his responsibilities in order to turn Albania, this prosperous land, this blessed country into the most beautiful garden of our dreams and the home of our future.
DP MP Jorida Tabaku congratulated the 110th anniversary of Independence with a painting by Buran Kaceli.
The head of the Freedom party, Ilir Meta, says in his congratulatory message published on social media that patriotism and sacrifices for the national flag should be a torch to protect Albania from the new perils looming.
“Today, on National Flag Day, we bow down with respect before the bright work of Ismail Qemali and the Fathers of Independence, who 110 years ago founded the modern state regarding Homeland and its destiny as a sacred ideal. Patriotism, sacrifices and the blood shed for the National Flag must always be the torch that illuminates our minds and the right path we must walk down to protect Albania from every new risk and make this blessed land as prosperous as possible , where today and forever all Albanians and their children live with dignity and pride. Eternal glory to Gjergj Kastriot Skënderbeu, Ismail Qemali, Isa Boletini and Adem Jashari on November 28!” writes Meta.
The former DP head Luzim Basha congratulated the Albanians on the 110th anniversary of independence.
“Happy November 28, the great day that unites us full of pride and deep gratitude for the immortal work of the nation’s heroes and martyrs. Their sacrifice on the altar of national freedom keeps the flame of faith in tomorrow burning in the heart of every Albanian. May God bless Albania and Albanians wherever they are!”, Basha writes on social media.
