TIRANA, Nov 28 /ATA/ Trade exchanges with Germany in the ten month period of this year are reckoned at 6.5% of the total, which make this country the fourth trading partner of our country.
According to the Institute of Statistics, in the January-October period of this year, trade exchanges reached 77.2 billion ALL.
Referring to the data, exports to Germany increased by 74.4% compared to the same period of 2021. In value, they reached 28.4 billion ALL, from 16.2 billion ALL in the 10 month period of 2021.
According to the report on foreign trade, the biggest contributors to the growth of exports were the “textiles and footwear” group, followed by the “construction materials and metals” group.
Referring to the data, imports from Germany also increased compared to the same period of 2021, reaching 48.6 billion ALL, from 45.4 billion ALL in 2021.
The Federal Government has invested in Albania since 1988 more than one billion euros in the form of grants and loans, which makes Germany one of the largest bilateral donors in the country.
