TIRANA, November 8/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that in 2023 Albania will have double the budget of 2013.
During a conversation with women and girls of Kamza, Rama said that this figure is sufficient for all those who do idle talk and claim that things have gone wrong or that things have not changed.
“We have doubled the budget of 2013 and we have a lot more means to protect the people in this situation. Now, we must focus on protecting those who are the most vulnerable. We have increased the minimum wage twice this year and we will increase it again next year to 36,000 ALL, maybe it will go to 38,000 ALL in the second phase of next year,” said Rama.
The prime minister also assured that the salary increase for soldiers, police officers, doctors, nurses, firefighters will continue and support for pensioners will definitely continue even though this is a budget in a difficult time.
In this context, Rama said that at the beginning of December pensioners will receive a Christmas bonus of 5 thousand ALL, while next year the government will continue to increase their pension.
The prime minister said that the government will impose an extraordinary tax on large energy producers, taking part of their profit and addressing it to pensioners, families on economic assistance, single mothers.
“We have decided to double the economic assistance for unemployed mothers with two children. Mothers with 3 children or more will receive double the aid and the state will pay their social and health insurance. All these are big things for a country with a budget like ours, which is not enough to address all the problems”, said Rama. /j.p/p.s./
