TIRANA, October 22/ATA/ Side by side with the 2023 draft budget, the Ministry of Finance and Economy has also presented the fiscal package carrying changes in tax laws. This package supports implementation of this budget both in terms of increasing revenues and in terms of improving procedures with the aim of reducing tax evasion.
The main innovation of this fiscal package is the new law “On income tax”, the law “On extraordinary tax in the energy sector” as well as the reintroduction of online sports betting into the legislation. At the same time, other less important changes were presented in the field of excise duties, national taxes and tax procedures.
The effects on the budget from the proposed fiscal measures are estimated at 14.8 billion Lekë; specifically from the fiscal package 4.5 billion Lekë, from gambling 2 billion Lekë and from special taxation 8.3 billion Lekë./p.s./
