TIRANA, October 19/ATA/ The State Police reacted today after the news spread yesterday evening, in several media organs and portals, in which it is claimed of another cyber attack against the TIMS system.
The State Police stated that, “Yesterday evening, there was no cyber attack against the TIMS system, but in the framework of improving the performance of the TIMS system, yesterday evening there were carried out some planned maintenance processes which interrupted the service in short time interval, at some of the border points, but without causing obstacles in the free movement of citizens”.
“We confirm that after the short intervention, yesterday evening, the TIMS system continues to be functional, at all border points”, emphasized the Police.
“We clarify that even in the coming days, there will be short-term interruptions at various border points, due to internal interventions, in order to improve the performance of the TIMS system,” said the Police.
The State Police asks for the good understanding of the media that before publishing news that has an impact on citizens, they should seek official confirmation from the relevant structures of the State Police./p.s./
