Rama: Satellites to be followed by military drones

TIRANA, September 29/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that, “Satellites will soon be followed by military drones”.

“We have decided to complete the satellite system and get the military drones. Of course, military drones are to be used for extreme cases against terrorism or a potential enemy, but drones have also a set of complementary functions, in accordance with satellites, being in constant dynamics and making connections or data deepening”, he clarified.

Rama said that, “Even drones will soon be available”.

“You cannot always manage to complete the processes in time when you foresee them because there is bureaucracy and there may appear all kinds of unexpected obstacles. I am saying this for all those who laughed at us for the delay in launching the satellites. It has not been an easy process because it is a process that is being done for the first time and several institutions have been engaged in coordination by the Ministry of Defense. Today, we are here with a positive result that gives us the opportunity to look with ease at our position in fight for full control over the territory and at the same time to increase state capacities in the future in all sectors”, he emphasized.

The prime minister said that, “Albania and the Albanian state are stronger with these instruments”.

“The satellites, drones and all the new technological base that is being created step by step makes us stronger. But, we do not forget that we are neither the United States, nor Israel, nor Turkey as they started long, long ago the process and they are much more powerful than us. However, we continue to stride to keep up for the lost time and we have done in these years as much as could not be imagined in many, many other years that were wasted. Many thanks to the company and I hope that now we enter a phase where the results will satisfy us even more than the signing of this agreement”, he said, during the presentation of the satellite service plan in the Republic of Albania. /m.m/p.s./
