TIRANA, September 9 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama encouraged today businesses to invest in solar energy, as a profitable investment in the medium term that significantly reduces costs.
The prime minister held a meeting with the representatives of the chambers of commerce on their recommendations for improving the climate and encouraging the dialogue so that to mutually increase the contribution to the economic and social development of the country.
Speaking about the energy situation, Rama emphasized the need to encourage as much as possible the transition to alternative sources as part of energy consumption.
However, the prime minister assured that every investment made in a country like Albania to produce energy from the sun is a profitable investment in the medium term and significantly reduces energy costs for business.
“We are open to consider incentive instruments to make these investments. I don’t want to forward unproven ideas, but we welcome all ideas from you and anyone else who lives with this huge problem, about how we can make investments easier. But, we have to completely forget about energy exchange. It can’t happen, it’s technically impossible. No one has solved it until today. Until science solves it, we cannot do such adventures, but we are ready to do everything else that has to do with incentive instruments”, said Rama. /j.p/p.s./
