TIRANA, August 24/ATA/- The Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has addressed a letter to the Central Election Commission, requesting the self-declaration form of the former president and chairman of the Freedom Party Ilir Meta.
In the official statement to the media, SPAK clarifies that the request is part of the investigation launched against Meta after a report from former MP Halit Valteri.
“Regarding a request that SPAK addressed to the CEC, we clarify that the request is part of the investigation being carried out by the Special Prosecutor’s Office within the framework of the criminal proceedings registered on the basis of the report of the citizen Halit Valteri. Investigation is underway”, said SPAK.
“The Special Prosecutor’s Office against Corruption and Organized Crime in Tirana is conducting investigation in the function of criminal proceedings No. 122 of 2022. For the needs of the investigation of this criminal proceedings, we request a copy of the self-declaration form pursuant to law no. 138/2015 “On guaranteeing the integrity of persons who are elected, appointed or exercise public functions”, submitted by the former MP of the Parliament of Albania Mr. Ilir Metaj (Meta)”, said the official letter signed by Head of SPAK Arben Kraja to the CEC./p.s./
