TIRANA, Aug 18 /ATA/ The Ambassador of the European Union to Albania, Christiane Hohmann, was in Vau i Dejës where she saw first-hand the hard work of Meliha Zyberaj, who with the support of the European Union, has employed other women in the area to produce handicrafts combining innovation and roots of Albanian cultural heritage.
“Albania needs strong women like Meliha and Europe is here to support them! Her small business produces unique handcrafts and creates jobs for marginalized women, and also uses environmentally friendly silk,” EU Ambassador Christiane Hohmann said.
