TIRANA, Aug 11 /ATA/ Hundreds of Armed Forces, Fire Service, Forest Service, Protected Areas Administration employees and volunteers have engaged in the relentless battles with the wildfires since the start of the summer season, protecting what is most important, human lives and property.
Expressing his gratitude to everyone who was involved in fire-extinguishing operations, the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, said that “in most cases these fires were intentional.”
“We remind these arsonists that they will be prosecuted according to the law. The structures of the civil defense system and the Armed Forces are on standby to respond in case of need,” said Peleshi.
