Road gets free at border crossing point in Bërnjak

PRISTINA, August 1 /ATA/ All the barricades that were put up on Sunday afternoon in the north of Kosovo have been removed. Even the last truck that was on the bridge near the border crossing point in Bërnjak has moved. But, there is still an excavator that creates an obstacle to full free movement.

Meanwhile, there is an increased presence of the Kosovo Police on the road taking care of maintaining order and peace.

Despite the road getting free, the border crossing points in Jarinje and Bërnjak continue to remain closed.

Meanwhile, the NATO Mission in Kosovo, KFOR, said that together with Kosovo and international security organizations, it is closely monitoring the situation in the north of the country.

“According to the UN mandate, KFOR continues to be committed to security, ready to take the necessary measures to keep Kosovo safe,” it wrote on Twitter./KosovaPress/p.s./
