TIRANA, July 22/ATA/ The Independent Qualification Commission decided today to dismiss from Vlora’s prosecutor Alfred Sali, who appeared in front of the jury on July 20.
The Commission conducted an investigation in all the three criteria of re-evaluation, namely pure image, professional skills and wealth.
According to the Commission, it turns out that in regard to wealth, Sali made a false declaration while there were found inaccuracies.
Thus, in 2014, in the wealth declaration, Sali claims to have won the amount of 79,275 Euros in the online sports betting, at Bet 355 based in Gibraltar.
The prosecutor declared that he gave a part of this amount to his father as a loan, 56,000 Euros. According to the Commission, even though the prosecutor had liquidity, he took a loan in a way that was not clearly justified. And he way paying back another loan with the new loan he received.
The amount of money won in gambling seems suspicious, as it does not match the wealth declarations.
The Commission found that there were banking transactions between the prosecutor and the betting company where it is evident that he was a frequent participant of this activity, undermining the image and integrity of the prosecutor./p.s./
