Independence House Park, newest space in revitalized Vlora

TIRANA, July 8 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama on Thursday evening inspected the new Park of the House of Independence in revitalized Vlora, a new space that has been restored to Vlora in tandem with the reconceptualized Flag Square and the infrastructure connecting the Trans-Balkan road with the sea.

“Good morning and with the pleasure of last night’s visit to the newest park of Revitalized Vlora, the Independence House Park, I wish you all a pleasant day ahead,” said Rama.

While visiting this park, Rama said that a series of bronze plaques incised with all the names of those who signed the independence will be unveiled soon.

“Each plaque is incised with a name. In the evening the names will be lit up. It will be like a field of fireflies with all the signatories of independence,” said Rama.

The new Independence Park will be home to 28,000 perennial plants, of which 560 pines and 108 citrus roots. In total there are 980 tall trees with a circumference of 50-60 cm.

Independence House Park is another stone in the mosaic of radical transformation of the city of Vlora, which is becoming more and more attractive every day.

The Independence House Park has come to life in the pedestrian space from the Skela roundabout to the port.
