TIRANA, July 3 /ATA/- During this week, the State Police arrested, initiated legal proceedings and declared wanted 563 citizens, of them: 165 were arrested, 374 were legally proceeded and 24 were declared wanted.
In a press release, the Police announced that a total of 36 wanted persons were apprehended, of whom: 31 were wanted nationally and 5 were wanted internationally.
Police have carried out 26 police operations, dubbed: “Transit 26”, “50 Dollars”, “Agents”, “Transit 27”, “Informality” (2 cases), “Watches”, “Excise”, “Check”, “Transporter” “, “Gjimlik”, “Finish”, “Road Guard 29”, “Gjorica”, “Prevention”, “North forex 2”, “North forex 3”, “Transfer”, “Clean Vjosa”, “Subsidy” , “Perimeter”, “Danube 7”, “Brothers”, “Next”, “Alteration of the Lagoon” and “Green mail”.
Also, during this week, the police officers have continued the control of the territory, throughout the country to detect and crack down on the criminal activity of the cultivation of narcotic plants. The territory control in Lezha, resulted in detection and dismantling of a warehouse adapted for the growing of narcotics, as well cracking down on a case of narcotics cultivation.
While the Traffic Police have ratcheted up monitoring of all road axes, using the new fleet of vehicles equipped with modern technology, the “Poliscan” intelligent car, the “Educational Drone”, the automatic license plate reader, the automatic radars installed in the fleet of new vehicles, cameras and other non-uniform tools, in order to prevent road accidents.
During this week, 543 driving licenses were suspended, of which: 421 for over -speeding, 77 for driving under the influence of alcoholic, and 45 for driving in the opposite direction, 67 drivers were arrested, of whom: 24 for driving intoxicated, and 43 for driving without a driving license, 2 citizens who were driving the vehicles under the influence of narcotics as well as 2 cases of bribery attempt were arrested by Tirana Police and 17,269 administrative measures have been imposed for violations of road traffic code.
