TIRANA, June 29 /ATA/ Credit to households is growing at steady rates.
The Bank of Albania announces that, during the first 5 months of this year, fresh loan to households reached ALL 34.3 billion, an increase of 18.9% compared to the corresponding period last year.
According to the BoA, loan for the purchase of real estate tops the increase in lending to individuals.
Consumer credit is also growing.
At the end of May, the loan portfolio for the economy reached the value of ALL 696 billion, with an annual increase of 12.6%.
