TIRANA, June 28 /ATA/ Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro participated today in the Ministerial held in Tirana, which was also attended by Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.
During this ministerial there was presented the report on the State of the Environment and Climate in the Western Balkans.
Kumbaro said that this report is an opportunity to reflect on the concrete steps we are taking in nature protection.
“From the National Cleaning Plan, to banning disposable plastic bags and increasing the area of protected areas, are decisions of a few months, which make our daily life safer”, wrote Kumbaro in a post on social media.
“But”, stressed Kumbaro, “in order to change our behavior once and for good, we need to change the mentality towards the environment, for the engagement of young people, for their education”.
Kumbaro said that, “Soon, we start the environmental education program in schools and for this we have the support of European partners”. /j.p/r.e/p.s./
