TIRANA May 23 /ATA/ – By I.Vata/- Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights convened on Monday under the chairmanship of Klotilda Bushka to review the candidacies for election of the new President of the Republic.
Bushka said that we have been informed that yet again there are no candidacies for this round.
In his remarks, the rapporteur Eduart Ndreca said that “Parliament Speaker Lindita Nikolla, after the end of the first round of voting for the President pursuant to Article 82 point 2 of the Constitution and Article 109, point three of the Rules of Procedure of Parliament, which stipulates that the Conference of Whips immediately sets the date of the second voting which takes place, no later than 7 days after the first vote for the election of the President, convened the conference of whips and set the date of 23 May at 18:00 hrs for holding the second round. ”
