TIRANA, March 21/ATA/ There has been an increase in the total number of visitors to Albania during March this year by 53.7%, compared to March 2021.
According to the Institute of Statistics report, the number of resident visitors who have been accommodated in the southern region has marked the highest increase of 98.1%.
This indicator has increased by 2 times in coastal areas, compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to statistics, in March, the number of overnight stays increased by 2.1 times, compared to March 2021. While the number of overnight stays of resident visitors who were accommodated in the southern region marked the highest increase with 2 times. In coastal areas, this indicator has increased by 2.4 times, compared to the same period last year.
The number of foreign nationals who have entered the Albanian territory during the first three months of the current year is estimated at 671,210.
The data published by INSTAT show that 157,366 citizens entered our country or 30% more than the same period of 2021.
According to INSTAT, among the countries that have the highest inflows of citizens in Albania, Greece has recorded the largest increase by 5 times, while Kosovo has recorded the most significant decline by 9.5%, compared to the same period of 2021./p.s./
