TIRANA, May 13 /ATA/-By I.Vata/ – The OSCE Presence in Tirana praised Friday the inclusive procedures launched by Albanian parliament to elect the country’s next President.
In a statement, the OSCE Presence saluted the inclusive process that will bring to the highest office a personality representing the unity of the people.
“As the country initiates the parliamentary procedures for electing the President of the Republic, the OSCE Presence in Albania salutes an inclusive process that will bring to the highest office a personality representing the unity of the people, as set forth in the Constitution of Albania,” the Presence said.
Ruling Socialist Party, represented by the Chair of parliamentary group Taulant Balla, launched negotiations with the opposition to elect Albania’s next President.
The Socialist official Taulant Balla stated a day ago that the parliamentary majority is open to negotiations with the opposition parties and cross-party dialogue for election of the new President.
