Independent Qualification Commission fires Prosecutor Ndoja

TIRANA, May 6/ATA/ The Independent Qualification Commission fired today Arian Ndoja, a prosecutor in the Durrës district prosecutor’s office.

The Independent Qualification Commission held today a session to announce the decision for prosecutor Arian Ndoja.

The trial panel composed of Olsi Komici, Xhensila Pine, Firdes Shuli, after analyzing the evidence and facts for the three evaluation criteria, decided to dismiss the prosecutor from office.

Ndoja faced vetting on April 29, 2022 for the three evaluation criteria, the legitimacy of wealth and the ethical and professional criteria.

Classified Information Security Directorate (CISD) pointed to evidence of preferential treatment toward individuals with criminal records during the time Ndoja was in office.

Ndoja allegedly associated in 2009 and 2010 with individuals involved in a corruptive affair.

Arian Ndoja graduated from the School of Magistrates in 2002 and initially worked as a prosecutor in the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office. In 2004, Ndoja left the prosecution and worked as a lawyer until 2008, when he returned to the system. /j.p/p.s./
