TIRANA, April 6 /ATA/ Façon industry is one of the important contributors to the country’s current account balance, after tourism and remittances.
The Bank of Albania reported that the revenue in the economy from façon industry increased by 14.6% compared to last year.
According to the BoA, the revenues in the economy during 2021, from services of made to order industry for foreign entities reached a record value of 501 million Euros.
The government gave its support to the façon industry to mitigating the consequences of the pandemic during 2020 and it has influenced the return of the façon industry to the growing trajectory. Balance of payments statistics show recovery during 2021 and positive expectations for the first months of the current year.
The façon industry numbered 581 enterprises, employing a total of approximately 28 thousand employees at the end of 2020. /j.p/p.s./
