TIRANA, March 10 /ATA/ The Competition Authority has launched a probe into the wholesale fuel market amid the increase in prices of petroleum derivatives that started in February this year.
The head of the CA Denar Biba said that, “Competition Authority is keeping the fuel market in check for several months now.”
Biba said that, the authority has launched the probe on 25.02.2022, pursuant to Decision no. 866 of the Competition Commission “On opening the procedure of preliminary probe in the wholesale market of diesel fuel and gasoline.”
“We share the same concern with you regarding the welfare of the consumer, but also as part of the legal obligations of the Authority,” said Biba. /a.a/sm/
