TIRANA, March 7/ATA/ The Assembly votes today in plenary session on the draft resolution in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and protection of the principles of international law and European security.
The draft resolution proposed for approval condemns the Russian military aggression in Ukraine and the serious violation by the Russian Federation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as an act that violates the international order.
At the same time, it promotes and supports the diplomatic activity and the measures taken by the Albanian government, in coordination with our strategic allies, the USA and the EU, in support of the sovereignty of Ukraine and the principles of European security and the global order of relations between the states.
The resolution supports economic sanctions and diplomatic measures taken by strategic partners against the Russian Federation, as well as military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and its people.
On the other hand, the draft resolution calls for the immediate cessation of the use of force by the Russian Federation in Ukraine and for the withdrawal of Russian military forces from the territory of Ukraine according to internationally recognized borders./p.s./
