TIRANA, March 6 /ATA/- The US Embassy is monitoring the voting process in all 6 municipalities where local by-elections are taking place this Sunday.
The US Ambassador Yuri Kim was in Durres on Sunday to observe the election process.
“It is especially wonderful to see so many active young people who are voters, election commissioners or observers. I hope that all citizens will exercise their right to vote,” said Kim.
The US diplomat stresses that “it is important for officials to ensure that voters can freely express their will, without any pressure, vote buying or other obstacles.”
