TIRANA, February 28/ATA/ The Albanian Road Authority (ARA) reported today about the situation of roads in the country, after the snowfall.
According to ARA, the contractors have been on the ground clearing and distributing salt along all roads where there is a presence of snow.
ARA appealed to drivers to be careful in movement, to respect road signs, to reduce speed, to be equipped with chains and winter tires and to follow instructions of the Traffic Police.
There are also reports that as a result of the snowfall, the lines and poles of the electricity network have been damaged, affecting the assets of the 110kW voltage of the Electricity Utility OST and the high voltage of 35kW, mainly in the southeast of the country.
The relevant teams are on the ground and are working to restore energy as soon as possible, but the difficult mountainous terrain has made the work of our employees difficult.
Meanwhile, despite the snowfall in the road to Dajti Mount in Tirana, the traffic is smooth.
The Albanian Road Authority said that they are working with snowploughs for cleaning and distribution of salt and the movement is carried out without problems./p.s./
