TIRANA, February 26/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that, “The National Consultation is a new effort on our path to interact as much as possible with citizens and a further step in involving citizens in important government decisions.”
During a meeting on the National Consultation process in Dibër, Rama said that so far we have got a significant reaction from the citizens, while adding that, “This is a questionnaire that can be completed online.”
The prime minister responded to those who consider this initiative as a belated effort saying that, “The fact that we take this initiative today, at the beginning of the third term, is very significant because we want to improve every day and try to do more every day.”
“It is a significant fact implying that we are not detached from the reality and we need more and more to make people useful in the decision-making process. The questionnaire carries a number of questions related to the governance dilemmas that we face. These are questions to understand where there are most of the opinions related to these issues. This is about government decisions, which we do not lack numbers and cartoons to take, but they are decisions for which we still have our dilemmas”, said Rama.
Rama also responded to those who consider this a propaganda initiative. “But, why should we spend so much time and energy if we do not want to listen to the opinion of the citizens? All these claims have no ground. We are interested in the opinion of the citizens, we want to involve everyone in decision-making and we want our decision-making to rely as much as possible on the spirit and conviction of the citizens “, said Rama./p.s./
