TIRANA, January 22 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama posted today the fourth question of the National Consultation form, an initiative that aims to obtain the opinion of citizens on issues of strategic importance for the country, economy and society.
The fourth question on the form concerns the payment of social insurance contributions by those who have acquired the pensioner status, but are still working.
“There are people who say that those who have gained the status of a pensioner, but who still continue to work, should not pay social contributions. Others think that such a differentiation should not be made. What do you think? ”is the question on the form.
The question also has a clarification of the issue where it is stated that, “Pensioners have made their financial contribution throughout the years of work until the moment of retirement. After this moment, if they choose to continue working, they do not have to continue to pay social insurance contributions, as long as they have paid their obligation before.”
The citizens have three options to answer: Working pensioners do not have to pay social insurance contributions; there is no need for this differentiation for working retirees; I do not know how to judge on this issue.
Rama stressed that, “With great gratitude to the 16,544 fellow citizens, everywhere, who are involved until last evening in the National Consultation, completing the online questionnaire in the first 24 hours, I invite you all to become part of this popular questionnaire for issues of strategic significance for our Home Albania”.

On January 5 this year, PM Rama announced the launch of the National Consultation process, through which citizens will express their views on issues related to the economy, work, family, justice, the fight against crime, or the process of European integration of the country./k.s/j.p/p.s./
