Basha: A different politics is on the way

TIRANA, Jan 22 /ATA/ The Democratic Party head, Lulzim Basha, stated on Saturday that “we are determined like never before showing it with deeds, not with words that a different politics is on the way. It has already given the first evidence and will give even more evidence together with all honest Albanians who make up the majority of this country. ”

In a meeting with the steering structures of the DP’s 8th branch, Basha said that “we will do everything to create the widest possible alliance with the citizens and to tell them the policy of deception, of lies, of slander has left you exhausted just as any normal man, every normal people of Europe would be left. But do not give up hope.”

Basha said that “we have been denouncing the affair of incinerators for 6 years on end. Six years of battle for a painful truth, for a corrupt affair of monstrous proportions which costs a minimum of 430 million euros.”

“Imagine what things would have been built with all that money if they had not ended up in the pockets of a handful of people, a handful of power-holders as justice punishes the tail, not the head. The head is still in government. “And from morning to evening, the mastermind behind this affair, together with his crutches and his oxygen tube try to divert attention from this,” said Basha.

The DP head said that we just demanded a Commission of Inquiry into an issue that incriminates the top leaders who rule Albania today and yet the Prime Minister and Mayor of Tirana said “no” although the Constitutional Court has said it 5 times; when 28 deputies ask for an inquiry commission, you cannot say no. Why? “They intend to drag it out, but for what gain?”

Speaking about former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Basha said that “Berisha triggered a whole movement only for his personal interest. And it unfolded as I told you, he was ready to set on fire with a handful of people their home, showing that this is not a battle for either democracy or democrats “but for Sali Berisha’s personal plight and for their posts.”
