TIRANA, Jan 12 /ATA/ Public debt is forecast to go down to 78.8% of Gross Domestic Product in 2022, from 80.1% projected for the end of the previous year.
Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, at the press conference on economic developments in 2021 and the forecasts for 2022 said that the deficit indicator is expected to drop to 5.4%.
“We aim for reduction of these indicators on a year to year basis. “Fiscal policy has been prudent and has aimed at reducing debt and deficit,” she said.
