TIRANA, December 29 /ATA/ The Albanian national team will play a friendly match with Spain on March 26, 2022.
The Albanian Football Association said that both associations have agreed on playing of this match in Spain, while the stadium and the time of the match will be determined in the coming weeks.
This will be the first friendly match between the two representative teams. Albania and Spain have played against each other seven challenges so far, all in context of the qualifiers of European and world championships.
Albania has played two matches versus Spain in context of qualifiers of the European Championship 1988. The first match was played in our country, at the stadium “Qemal Stafa” on December 3, 1986 and was won by the Spaniards with a narrow score 1-2. The only goal for the red and blacks was scored by Shkëlqim Muça. While in the second match in Spain, on November 18, 1987, Albania was defeated 5-0.
Meanwhile, the third challenge for the qualifiers of the 1992 European Championship was played in Spain, on December 19, 1990 and ended in favor of the Spaniards who won 9-0.
The other 4 challenges were all played for the qualifiers for the World Championship, namely the 1994 World Cup and the 2018 World Cup, but Albania couldn’t win any of these matches. /j.p/p.s./
