TIRANA, December 18/ATA/ The Municipality of Kolonjë aims to create an organic farm of 86 hectares with nuts and hazelnuts, as a model investment in this region. It can be followed by other enterprises in this region with climate and geographical conditions that favour the development of farms of the same kind.
The Municipality of Kolonjë aims to plant several plots extending over a total area of 85.92 ha, with 7500 nut seedlings and 500 hazelnut seedlings as an integral part of an organic agricultural farm, conceiving the territory for an integrated agricultural business in the future. The plan also carries realize of a complete cycle of processing and packaging of products and establishment of activities related to the organic farm.
The activity aims to use all public assets in the territory and turn them into models for local farmers. The Kolonjë area, known for the production of very good quality nuts, will create the model of a long-term agricultural activity.
The activity will be administered by a joint structure set up between the partners in the form of a 100% publicly owned ltd. /j.p/p.s./
