TIRANA, December 17 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama compared the latest developments in the Democratic Party with a soap opera.
During an interview on television, PM Rama said that it is a soap opera of a stupidity that has come to the surface.
“If you see how it develops, with what arguments, it is painful for this country, for this people and above all for those who have believed in it so far and continue to believe in the protagonists of this soap opera. It is a story of insane people, beyond the struggle for power”, declared the prime minister.
PM Rama stressed further that the situation in the DP is like a dance getting on the edge of the abyss.
It is painful and serious that a man is declared non-grata and on the blacklist of the USA after being president, prime minister. But, to transform this man into the person who preaches salvation is foolish; it is tragicomic; it is grotesque. On the other hand, there is the stupidity of the other man. It is a dance getting to the edge of the abyss, where the Democratic Party of Albania will practically fall. It is the main opposition of Albania”, said Rama.
According to Rama, everything is ugly.
It is ugly for Albania to have a “non grata” political corpse around and in front of it, another “grata” political corpse and both of these corpses to lead their dance at the expense of an entire opposition people and to condition the political life of Albania with a spectacle to laugh and cry”, he said.
The prime minister also responded to the claims of lobbying.
“Who can imagine that the State Department, the US government could be corrupted by billionaires? If it could be influenced with money, then the Eastern sultanates would have invaded the USA because they have billions, they could buy everything, but the US governments. US governments do not make such bargains,” Rama said.
Rama said that he was interested in having an opposition with which he coordinates things, an opposition that could be talked with.
“Edi Rama does not have battles to do with them, because he has defeated them and he can defeat them again. Pragmatically, he would like an opposition that is unified and engaged”, he declared./r.e/p.s./
