Rama: Level of Vjosa River drops back within normal range, meaningful testimony of work done

TIRANA, Dec 13 /ATA/ After the torrential rain in the last couple of days, the water level of the Vjosa River has dropped back within the normal range.

The news was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who also published a view of the Vjosa River.

“The water level of Vjosa river dropped back within the normal range at an optimal time, as a meaningful proof of all the work done for the construction of new protective embankments and the maintenance of the drainage system throughout the area”, says Rama.

Thanks to the work of the army forces, State Police, civil emergencies, employees of drainage boards, teams of the municipalities of Fier, Vlora, Mallakastër, health services and OSHEE electricians, the most difficult part of Vjosa flows is gone.

Due to heavy rainfall, the Vjosa River burst its banks inundating several areas close to Mifoli bridge.
