TIRANA, Dec. 13/ATA/ The Steering Group for Migration in its first meeting received and approved the annual report on the implementation of the strategy for the period July 2020 – June 2021, as well as was acquainted with the main achievements of institutions for good governance of migration in Albania.
This meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Interior, Andi Mahila with the participation of the Deputy Ministers of the ministries responsible for the implementation of this strategic document.
Given that the National Migration Strategy envisages a medium-term review of the action plan, the Deputy Ministers participating in the meeting, based on the recommendations of the Technical Committee on Migration, discussed the changing migration trends and the impact of other government strategies in this area.
During the meeting, based on facts, have been identified the achievements, as well as the problems related to the implementation of the National Strategy for Migration and the Action Plan. During the meeting has been also emphasized the need for further improvement of inter-institutional coordination for migration governance in Albania.
