TIRANA, December 10/ATA/ Lezha Municipal Council extended today the title “Honorary Citizen” to the Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia Talat Xhaferi for the close ties with this city, as the only personality of this rank who spends the holidays together with his family promoting Lezha tourism.
Mayor of Lezha Pjerin Ndreu gave the news.
This title was given to him for his patriotic contribution in preserving patriotic values and performing with dignity and devotion the tasks assigned over the years and especially as a prominent politician and Speaker of the Assembly, valorizing the Albanian state-building factor in all aspects.
The ceremony was also attended by the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Lindita Nikolla, the Albanian Ambassador to Skopje Fatos Reka as well as Xhaferi’s benevolent friends from all Albanian-speaking areas./p.s./
