TIRANA, Dec 7 /ATA/ Costs in the construction sector increased during the third quarter of this year.
The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) published on Tuesday the report on the Construction Cost Index for the third quarter, according to which the cost of construction marked an annual increase of about 2.2%.
Compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the largest price increase is observed in the group of material costs by 2.9%. There is also an increase in expenditures for salaries, transport and machinery by 2.1%, 2% and 1.4%, respectively.
Energy expenditures also increased by 1.4%.
Meanwhile, compared to the second quarter of this year, the cost of construction increased by 0.6%. Energy expenditures marked the highest increase by about 1.3%, followed by the group “machinery expenditures by about 1.1%.
