TIRANA, Dec 6 /ATA/ Agricultural exports are pursuing the upward trend.
Fresh vegetables, dominated by tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers, are one of the most important groups in agricultural exports “Made in Albania”.
According to official data from the Institute of Statistics, during the period January-October of this year, exports of fresh vegetables amounted to ALL 7.4 billion.
Compared to the same period a year ago, these exports increased by 1.5%.
Today, Albanian agricultural exports go to 75 different countries of the world, mainly the European Union member countries and the region.
Agricultural experts explain that the surge in exports is attributed to the increase in production, collection and marketing capacities of the country.
According to them, the investments, thanks to the financial support provided by the government, have caused agriculture to bounce back to elevated trend, increased labour force and income of farming families.
