TIRANA, Dec 4 /ATA/- The Armed Forces mark on Saturday the 109th anniversary of their creation on December 4, 1912, a few days after the foundation of the first Albanian state in Vlora.
Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General asoc. prof. Bajram Begaj, congratulated soldiers, subordinate officers, officers and civilians of the Armed Forces on the occasion of the 109th anniversary.
Begaj states in his message that “December 4, 1912 is a clarion call of our ancestors for the national memory of the value and importance of the Armed Forces, but also the tribune to express our respect and gratitude to the founders and architects of the military force of country and all generations who have served and contributed over the years. “This day is the moment to feel proud of the glorious journey and of the honoured and valued status we have gained within our society, but also among our allies in the Euro-Atlantic Alliance.”
The Armed Forces are today the honour and pride of the country thanks to the inherent and important commitments and contributions through domestic and international missions.
Begaj states that “this is a sufficient motive to express a special gratitude and respect to all those who have contributed over the years and those who are currently engaged on the front line of the Alliance and other international organizations in Latvia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sudan. ”
