TIRANA, Nov 21 /ATA/ On Sunday, Prime Minister Edi Rama drew attention to the transformation of the residential block opened yesterday in Vaqarr.
“Good morning, and with the images of the residential block transformed beyond recognition that opened its doors in Vaqarr, an example of Albanian solidarity and cooperation with the Different Weekend, I wish you a peaceful Sunday,” Rama said.
A few days before the 2nd anniversary of the devastating November 26, 2019 earthquake, the first neighbourhood of the National Reconstruction Program was inaugurated yesterday in Tirana, the new neighbourhood in Vaqarr, built back from scratch, after its destruction 2 years ago.
20 families in this area have received on Sunday the keys to the new housing units built back thanks to the contribution of the “Fundjavë Ndryshe” Foundation, one of the many donors who responded to the government’s call to show solidarity with those affected by the earthquake that brought Albania to its knees two years ago.
The construction of public infrastructure has already completed in the Administrative Unit of Vaqarr, meanwhile the work will move ahead with construction of the new school and 128 new houses in Ndroq, Baldushk, Zall Herr. /j.p/sm/
