TIRANA, Nov 21 /ATA/ The 2021 Book Fair attracted a large number of avid readers during these days dedicated to celebration of reading and literature.
After a one-year disruption due to the pandemic, the 24th Book Fair was held at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana with the participation of 95 publishing houses.
Organized by the Albanian Publishers Association, this fair makes its comeback after a very difficult period for both readers and publishers.
The best Albanian author prize went to the writer Virgjil Muçi for his collection of short stories “My tongue is to blame”.
Meanwhile, Flavia Kaba received the best translation award for translation of the short story collection “The City of Steam” by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, an important author of Spanish literature who passed away only 2 years ago.
The 24th edition of Book Fair was organized with the support of the Municipality of Tirana and the National Book and Reading Center.
