Export of fish increased by 239% since 2013

TIRANA, November 20/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the export of fish has increased by 239% since 2013.

In his presentation of Budget 2022 for the fishermen, PM Rama said that, “This year will end with 32 more licensed subjects in the fishing industry while there are 720 formalized subjects”.

PM Rama reminded that when he met for the first time with fishermen in the quality of prime minister, the fishing sector was fighting for survival.

Then, there were only two export destinations, Italy and Greece.

The prime minister said that at present Albania exports fish to Italy, Greece, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Croatia, Denmark, Romania, Germany, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, in the countries of the region, Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and the most elite, most difficult, richest fish market that is Japan “,

The head of government said that, “I tell those who see Albania working from portals, channels and social networks that the lowest salary you pay to work in fishing is 80 thousand Lekë”.

“Everyone needs fishermen, this is an economy that is growing and will continue to grow. Where do you find workers? With 80 thousand lek lowest salary, in they come from Turkey and Egypt to work in Albania and some with “Kristal University” degrees who claim to be lawyers who are looking for work, there is no job. Here they come and knock on the doors of the fishing industry and if they are ready to work, there is work here “, said Rama./p.s./
