Vocational education towards alignment with European framework

TIRANA, Nov 4 /ATA/ Albania takes another important step towards reaching the standards and objectives as part of European Union accession and the conditions for alignment of the Albanian training system with the European one.

The Ministry of Finance and Economy announced on Thursday that the Advisory Board of the European Qualifications Framework, including representatives of EU member states and the Western Balkans, evaluated and approved the report on the referencing of the Albanian Qualifications Framework (AQF) to the European Qualifications Framework (KEK) and self-certification to the Framework for Qualifications of European Higher Education Area.

“This assessment and approval positively concludes a very important process for our country and all holders of Albanian qualifications,” said the Ministry.

This means that diplomas and certificates issued by educational institutions in Albania, which offer qualifications in line with the Albanian Qualifications Framework (education and vocational training, general and oriented education, as well as higher education) will refer to the level of the European Qualifications Framework, facilitating their recognition in EU countries and the European Higher Education Area and the mobility of professionals.
