TIRANA, Nov 3 /ATA/ The BoA Supervisory Council reviewed and approved on Wednesday the monetary policy report.
The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, at the press conference on Wednesday said that “the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania after discussing the economic and monetary developments in the country and their expected performance, decided to keep the base interest rate for the lek unchanged at the level of 0.5%. ”
Sejko stressed that “interest rates on overnight deposits and lending remain unchanged at 0.1% and 0.9%, respectively.”
The head of the Central Bank noted that, “monetary policy remains adequate to support economic growth in the medium term, in order to sustain economic recovery and bring inflation back to the target of 3% in 2022.” /a.a/sm/
