TIRANA, November 2/ATA/ In context of curing the past, the Authority for Information on Former State Security Documents declassified today the former State Security file for journalists convicted by the dictatorship.
The Authority released the file on 2 November, the ‘International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists’, reminding journalists convicted by the dictatorship, who were tried, convicted, imprisoned since the installation of communist regime in Albania.
The sentencing of journalists, the trial, and in many cases, their execution, was among the ways of suppressing the free speech, critical thinking, independent opinion and intellectual approach to reality.
Likewise, the Authority published the application form for those interested who can get acquainted with the files. /j.p/p.s./
