TIRANA, October 29 /ATA/ “A new embassy building for a changing Tirana” was the topic of the conference held at the venues of the Polytechnic University of Tirana, where there was extended the call for proposals for the project of the new Italian Embassy in Tirana.
The Ambassador of Italy in Tirana Fabrizio Bucci said that, “There is a common thread that connects Italian architecture with Albania. Well-known Italian architects have left an indelible mark on modern Tirana. We have launched an important international competition, open to all.”
“The new embassy should be a beautiful building, looking to the future, in a city like Tirana that is going through a phase of great changes. We consider a wide interest because it is not just a building, but a work that can prove the extremely strong relationship that exists between Italy and Albania “, said Ambassador Bucci.
President of the Association of Architects of Albania Matilda Pando said that, “This is a tender of great interest for Albanian architects. It will be a project that will go beyond the borders of Tirana and Albania, which will be heard all over the world.
